As we continue to build our library collection, we are pleased to make two announcements.
Fyock Library has just acquired twenty new audio books, both fiction and non-fiction. We anticipate adding an equal number of Spanish audio books in the near future, so stay tuned!
Also, for the second year in a row, Fyock Library has been honored with a grant from the El Pomar Foundation. This resource goes a long way in supporting the expansion of our community collection, and we greatly appreciate the support El Pomar continually gives to our Valley, the Center community and, most especially, Fyock Library.
In addition to our new Chilton LIbrary, the online automotive repair database, Fyock Library is happy to announce the arrival of 50 new fiction and nonfiction books for adults. From a comprehensive handbook for cancer patients and their families to an exciting mystery series by author Nevada Barr. Featured among our new resources is a film (DVD) by Roy Germano called The Other Side of Immigration. From the film summary, "Based on over 700 interviews in rural Mexican towns where about half the population has left to work in the United States, The Other Side of Immigration asks why so many Mexicans come to the U.S. and what happens to the families and communities they leave behind."
Plans are in place for our new community library facility expected to open it's doors August 2012. For more information check out the BEST Grant Information on the Center Schools website here.
Fyock Library has a new website. You can easily browse our site for general research, quickly access the databases we have subscribed to, see what activities we have planned, and so much more!
