Athletic events for this week: MS Baseball @ OMS on Tuesday, April 16th. Game starts at 4:30. MS Baseball home against Monte Vista on Thursday, April 18th, game starts at 4:30. MS Track @ Monte Vista on Saturday, April 20th. HS Track @ Rye on Friday, April 19th. And HS Baseball @ Monte Vista (DH) on Saturday, April 20th. First pitch at 11:00am.

Haskin Elementary 3rd-5th Grade CMAS testing begins tomorrow Tuesday, April 9th. Please have students arrive to school on time (7:30) to eat breakfast. If they do not eat breakfast at school, please make sure they eat breakfast at home. Also, make sure your child goes to bed early so they can get plenty of rest and they can be ready for testing.
Athletics for this week: MS Baseball will play on Wednesday, April 10th @ Centauri game begins at 4:30pm. They will play on Thursday, April 11th @ Sargent, game starts at 4:30pm.
HS Baseball will play Las Animas @ Runyon Field (Pueblo) on Wednesday, April 10th, game starts at 4:00pm. They will play a double header at home on Saturday, April 13th 1st game at 11:00am. HS Track will be @ Del Norte this Saturday.
Skoglund Middle School Students will begin CMAS testing April 9th (Mathematics), April 10th (ELA), and April 11th (8th Grade Science). This test will begin promptly at 8:00 am until 3:00pm. During these testing days, The Colorado Department of Education requires that all students turn in their phones, smart watches, and all other electronic devices until the end of the day. If a students is caught in possession of their phones, smart watches, or other electronic device, there will be severe consequences. After the end of the testing day, students will be released from school. IF A STUDENT RIDES THE BUS or is waiting for a younger sibling, they will need to plan to wait in the library until 4:00pm.
We highly encourage you to talk to your child about trying their best on the test. Our school gets a state rating based on the test results, and our teachers use this assessment data to drive instructional practices. Please make sure your student gets a good night's sleep the night before and eats breakfast the day of the test.
Remember, the CMAS Test is an important data tool for Skoglund Middle School, and all students are expected to be in attendance.
