Parents,
Due to the recent uptick in positive COVID-19 cases throughout our community and the San Luis Valley we are offering a free COVID-19 testing day for all students who want to participate and have a consent form signed. This is scheduled for this coming Thursday, April 22nd and will take place during school hours at the school. The student will be pulled out of class for less than 5 minutes while the test is collected. Results will be back in 15 minutes. Students and parents will be notified of test results IF IT IS POSITIVE. If you or your student do not hear anything from the school, their test result was negative. These tests are done by inserting a q-tip less than an inch into each nostril for 5 seconds. This does not hurt; it may make your student feel like they need to sneeze.
Elementary parents- please complete the attached 2 forms and return to school asap- no later than Thursday if you would like your child tested.
Middle School and High School Parents- You or your child can pick up the permission slips from the office or print them out online at: https://sites.google.com/center.k12.co.us/schoolnursecorner/covid-testing-paperwork?authuser=0
Please let us know if you have any questions!!
Padres,

A big THANK YOU to Ciello on behalf of Center Schools and the Town of Center!
On March 4th, Ciello technicians installed a public Wi-Fi hotspot at the Community Park. This Wi-Fi connection is available to the public for free and can be used during events or games held at the park, or at anytime community members or students need an Internet connection.
"Giving back to the communities we serve is very important to Ciello and SLVREC. In these challenging times, internet connections have become more important than ever," says Monroe Johnson, Ciello’s chief technology officer. "We hope this service is helpful to the residents of Center. We highly value our relationship with the Center School District and the Town of Center and applaud their efforts to help the community cope with these trying times.”
Password for the public Wi-Fi is ciellowifi.
Due to the social distancing guidelines recommended by the CDC, Ciello encourages users to remain in their cars to limit exposure to themselves and others.
