This is a reminder about our District Accountability Committee (DAC) meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 8th, at 4:15 PM in the Community Room by the library. The DAC is a great opportunity for you to share your thoughts and help shape the future of our schools and the needs of our youth. Your voice matters, and we encourage anyone interested in making a difference to join us.
Thank you to those who are already part of the committee—your contributions are invaluable! We hope to see many more parents there to support our students and community.

Parks and Rec basketball registration is open for girls for grades 3/4 and 5/6. We have to submit the number of teams by tomorrow. Please register ASAP. You can register at the link below or come to the school to register and pay at the elementary office. For grades 5 and 6, Center Blue (coach Reyna) plays tonight in Sangre de Cristo at 6:30. Center White (coach Alexia) plays tonight in Monte Vista at 6:30. Padres de nuestros equipos de Voleibol de Parques y Rec. Enviando un recordatorio de nuestros juegos de esta noche. Hi parents. Just a reminder that 6th and 7th graders need to bring their release forms to school today. All of them will still go on the field trip, but they can only participate in the activities if they have the release. All MS kids, 6, 7, and 8 need to be to school on time so they don't get left. This is a regular, required school day, and we also will learn a lot and have fun on the field trips.
8th Grade Parents: Our 8th graders are attending a field trip to the Fort Garland museum for ICAP day tomorrow. This is a regular day of school, and students are expected to attend. They will get a grade for ICAP/Choices. Students will be back by the end of the day.

Seventh grade parents: Our 7th grade students are attending a field trip to the Climbing Wall at Adams State University as part of ICAP day. Students will receive a grade for participation. This is a regular, required school day and students are expected to attend. Students get to choose what they want to participate in at the Climbing Wall, but they must have a waiver signed to do any climbing. Even if they don't climb, they need to go to school. Waivers were sent home yesterday and today. Please make sure they bring the waiver back to school if they haven't yet. Sixth Grade Parents: Tomorrow 6th graders are going on a field trip to the Noah's Ark Challenge Course in Buena Vista as part of ICAP. We are not doing the rafting, but are doing the Challenge Course. Students will get a grade for the day for ICAP/Choices, and this is a regular, required school day. Students have a choice about what they do or don't do on the course. We will have lots of fun and want all students to attend.
